"Aipan for the Divine: Traditional Kumaoni Art from My Village"

Hello everyone.... I hope you all are well and your life is going well. India is a country where not only seasons but festivals are also celebrated. And today I will show you all a Kumaoni Aipan painting. Hope you all will like it.

This photo is of my village where Mata Rani is being established and I have done this painting with my own hands and made it for my mother in which my mother will use it for the establishment of Mata Rani. It took me two days to make this Aipan in which I have taken white, red and yellow colours and have prepared a beautiful fungola with these three colours.

Come, let me tell you some things about Aipan, where it is used in our Kumaon.

It is a traditional folk art created in the Kumaon region of Uttarakhand.In Kumaoni, Aipan is a folk art like Rangoli. It is used in the thresholds of temples and places of worship. This is a culture of Kumaon.

People make Aipan in their homes on festivals and weddings. Aipan is used not only in house building but also in utensils. In Kumaon, Phungola is a type of vessel in which water or Ganga water is kept. It is used in weddings as well as for drinking water at home. Water is kept in it. Keeping water in it keeps the water cool and it is colored with the help of Aipan.
