I couldn’t stop looking at this flag.
Green, white, green. But the red keeps dripping. And lately my mind keeps going to one thing: the news.
What the news keeps showing me:
The flag is supposed to represent all of us. But when “the country’s children” are the ones in headlines, the colors feel heavy.
so I'm curious:
When you see our flag today, do you still see safety for our children?
What does “security” look like for you, for your family, for your street?
I’m not a politician. I’m just a sister in Lagos typing this with tears in my eyes. I believe we can talk about hard things without hate.
Share your thoughts below. Let’s listen to each other. The children deserve that much.
Note: This is my personal reflection on recent news reports about insecurity in Nigeria. I pray for peace and safety for every family.
