Let’s be honest for a minute, Neoxian family.
How many times today did you smile, say "I’m fine", and act like everything was normal... when inside, it wasn’t?
We do it a lot here in The City of Neoxian. We wake up, fix our face, wash the tiredness off, and step out like warriors. No matter what happened last night. No matter the bills that refused to sleep. No matter the silent battles we’re fighting where nobody can see.
Pretending you’re okay is a skill we all learned young, and we got good at it.
We wear "I’m okay" like armor. Because showing weakness feels risky. People might leave. People might judge. People might use it against you later. So we pretend. We nod. We smile. We keep moving.
But here’s the truth I’ve learned living in this city:
Armor is heavy. And if you wear it every single day, your shoulders will ache. Your spirit will get tired. One day the armor cracks, and people will wonder why you "changed". But you didn’t change. You just got tired of pretending.
You don’t have to be okay all the time. You’re human. Humans break. Humans rest. Humans cry in the bathroom and wash their face before coming out. That doesn’t make you weak - that makes you real. And real is better than perfect.
So Neoxian family, real talk with no filter:
If you could stop pretending for just 10 minutes today, what would you actually say out loud? What’s the truth your "I’m fine" is hiding?
Drop it below. This is a safe space. No advice unless asked. No judgment. Just truth and understanding 👇
Sometimes the bravest thing you can say isn’t "I’m strong". Sometimes it’s "I’m not okay". Because saying that out loud is the first step to actually becoming okay.
We’re all fighting something. Let’s stop fighting alone.
