This is one of my newest pottery arts. His name is Fairy Dragon Ball. It wobbles a little bit but won't fall. I couldn't find any use for him so he is now happily sitting on my art shelf with others.
Here he is after the first baking and before I painted him. He has big horns and spikes on his back and his tail.
I didn't have to shave or scalp him at all. That is still the most difficult part for me. I only pressed my fingers and modeled him. My sensei showed me how to make his nose and eyebrows.
This is his final painting look. I gave him a blue nose, and many green and blue spots.
Here he was ready for polishing. Polishing means putting him kindly into a milky liquid that sticks to him everywhere, and dries very fast. It's fun.
I spilled on the floor some liquid as well but It's easy to clean.
After polishing and his second baking. He is ready for me to take him home. I believe he was glad.
It was much fun at my pottery class. Maybe next time I'll try to make a plate, or an awesome creature again...hmm.
