SM엔터테인먼트가 텐센트뮤직엔터테인먼트와 중국 시장을 겨냥한 합작법인 STE를 베이징에 설립했다. 슈퍼주니어M의 조미가 대표를 맡고, 중국인 아티스트 발굴과 육성, 현지 활동 관리를 이끈다. 양사는 오디션을 거쳐 2~3년 안에 새로운 중국 아이돌 그룹을 선보일 계획이다. STE는 NCT DREAM 런쥔과 WayV 양양·샤오쥔 등 중화권 출신 SM 아티스트의 활동도 지원한다. 이번 법인 설립은 양사가 2026년 5월 체결한 업무협약에 따른 후속 조치다.
SM Entertainment and Tencent Music Entertainment have established STE, a Beijing joint venture led by Super Junior M’s Zhoumi. It will recruit and manage Chinese artists, launch a new idol group within two to three years, and support China focused activities for SM artists including Renjun, Yangyang and Xiaojun. The venture follows an agreement signed in May 2026.
