Prawns were on the menu this week. A quick visit to the wet market results in a kitchen filled with the savoury smell of steamed prawns. After all the big lucky prawns were selected out for our main event, the smaller prawns we kept in the fridge. Normally these little ones are used in addition to stir-fry dishes or noodles but today we decide to experiment. A popular prawn dish here in our local restaurants is the cheese coated prawn and so here is our little homemade twist the:
Cheezy Prawn Toast
The ingredients are very simple.
- Steemed deshelled prawns
- Carrots, spring onions and Mayo
- Mozzarella cheese
- Toast (ours is buttered)
Simply get some toasted sandwich bread. Spread the ingredients on both slices and put in an oven on medium heat until the Mozzarella melts. Take out, unite the two half into a union that makes even the royal wedding envious and bite in while the toast is still crisp and the cheese is stringy.
Sometimes satisfaction comes from simple enjoyments in life.
