Yesterday was a special occasion for Venezuelan soccer, as it had a pre-World Cup match with the national team of Bolivia to play for a place in the next World Cup to be held in Mexico, USA and Canada. This match was held in Maturin, a Venezuelan city, so the Venezuelan team would have the full support of the attendees.

As I knew about this meeting, I bought four Polar Pilsen beers and put them to cool early in the morning. I bought the Vinotinto cans, specially created to pay homage to our soccer team and whose slogan is: Mano, tengo fe (Hand, I have faith). Polar is not only the favorite sparkling wine of Venezuelans, it is also the sponsor of our soccer team.

Already in the first half, due to an own goal by Bolivia, Venezuela started to win 1 to 0. Then in the 20th minute, Venezuela took a 2-0 lead. After we went up on the scoreboard, I took out my beer and it really tasted like glory. There is nothing like drinking beer when we are happy.

This vinotinto beer, although a special edition, has the same ingredients as the Polar Pilsen beers. With 4.5° alcohol and with ingredients such as malted barley, cereals, hops, water, stabilizers, it is a light, golden, refreshing beer with a moderate bitterness.

At the end of the match, Venezuela won 2 to 0 against the Bolivian national team, gaining 3 points to get into the playoffs for the teams that will go to the World Cup.

Venezuela has always been the Cinderella of Latin American soccer and Venezuelans have always admired teams from other countries: Brazil, Argentina, Spain, Germany, France, Italy. But now we have our own great team and we feel very proud! So I already promised, that if we go to the World Cup, I will not buy 4 beers, I will buy a full case to celebrate with pleasure.
