I saw a video not too long ago on Facebook involving a teenager who had plotted along with her cousin to go meet a 21-year-old man that she had been communicating with on social media. They ended up meeting at a public place that looked like some kind of riverfront or beach area. Somehow the girl's mother got tipped off about where her daughter and the man were, so she rushed to the place right away, and when she got there she started immediately disciplining the girl. She attacked the cousin as well because she felt that the cousin had been the one who had persuaded or influenced her child to go meet this grown man.
The mother became so angry that she started snatching her daughter by her hair and slapping her in the face, and she even tried to throw the girl's cousin in the water before some security guards showed up. She slapped the 21-year-old guy around too and kept telling him that her daughter was only 14 years old. The young man kept trying to stop her from beating the girl, and this only made her angrier.
I don't know what ended up happening with this case, but I think she probably should have just started off by having the guy arrested for trying to get involved with a minor.
