This mask thing is really getting crazy, how much I do not like wearing it but there are times when it is completely unavoidable. For a long time, I have been looking out for something practical. The cloth mask does get suffocating after some time. I really wonder how people wear it for longer durations. I cannot even stand it for 5 mins. The times when I have to use it for a long duration, I get a headache.
Anyways I have managed to find something more practical for my use, first of all I avoid wearing it as much as possible and for the same reason I do not even step out unless it's important, else most of the stuff I prefer to do online. I go for my evening walks, but during that time I do not wear it, and that's allowed in my city. So, it gives me a breather.
The one that I managed to find is a transparent clear face mask made of hard plastic. It covers from nose, right till the chin, and it does not press the nose and suffocate. It is very comfortable, breathable and it is anti-fog, so it helps.
I was specifically looking for something more comfortable and breathable than the cloth mask, because soon I will be travelling and at the airports and flights, I really do not know what the situation is going to be like, and I cannot imagine myself sitting with the cloth mask on me for hours together. I might just faint with that. Now I am happy I could get one.
You can comfortably wear it around the ears and it is also comfortable to wear with specs. There are also face shields available that cover from the head till the chin but that would be a little uncomfortable, I guess. This is just perfect to solve the purpose.
My husband has started using this in his office, where he is expected to wear and sit for a long time. He finds it very convenient now and is ok to wear it for a long time also. The cloth mask leaves some chances for the virus to still get into you, but this one leaves no chance, and I am sure that the virus is not so funny to struggle and find its way from below the chin and get into the nostrils....hahaha.
They are not expensive and easily manageable. The only negative point is it is big and you need to be careful in placing it when not in use. It's not delicate, but if you put it in your bag carelessly then it can break. It is available on Amazon. Though I ordered from my local online shopping Desertcart. The price was a little high on the site, but then I wanted to travel comfortably. When I ordered I was not sure how exactly it would be, because these online sites make big claims and then you can be disappointed with the real product. But with this one I am happy; I am going to order 2 more and keep it as a backup.
I really advise this mask to all those people who are using the cloth mask for longer duration and it is impacting their breathing.
