El Panecillo
El Panecillo is a little slope situated in Quito, Ecuador. The slope used to be a dynamic spring of gushing lava and it has a height of somewhat more than 3,000 meters above mean ocean level.
The old individuals of Quito used to call the slope Yavirac and these locals had a "sanctuary" where they venerated the sun. Over the present day El Panecillo slope is a statue named Virgen de Quito. This is something that visitors climb the slope with the goal that they can see the statue.
