📸 PhotoFeed Contest - Cityscape Photography #172 : La Virgen de Quito

This is one of the main streets in the hisrical centre of Quito, Ecuador. I am sitting on the second floor, in a small cafe. There is a small balcony from where I took the photo. In the background, on top of the hill you can see a metal angel. This is a 41 high statue of the Virgin of Quito. What is not possible to see on the photo, is her crown of starts and angelic wings, in additon to a chained dragon. The hill on which she is standing is called El Panecillo. From up here the view of the city and the surrounding mountains does offer a spectacular sight.
