Some places offer much more than beautiful views. The Sanctuary of Our Lady of Charity of El Cobre is one of them. Every corner holds a story, a prayer, and the hope of the people who come here seeking peace.
En esta serie de fotografías quise mostrar diferentes perspectivas del lugar. La primera imagen captura un pequeño altar visto a través del cristal, como si invitara a contemplar la fe desde una mirada más íntima. La segunda destaca la imponente arquitectura del campanario, elevándose hacia un cielo despejado y recordándonos el paso del tiempo y la fortaleza de este santuario.
With this series of photographs, I wanted to capture different perspectives of this special place. The first image shows a small shrine through a window, creating a more intimate view of faith. The second highlights the impressive bell tower rising toward the clear sky, reflecting both the passage of time and the enduring strength of the sanctuary.
Las dos últimas fotografías muestran el impresionante paisaje que rodea al santuario. El intenso color turquesa del agua, las montañas y las antiguas minas crean un contraste único entre la naturaleza y la historia de este sitio tan emblemático de Cuba.
The last two photographs reveal the stunning landscape surrounding the sanctuary. The vibrant turquoise water, the mountains, and the former mining area create a remarkable contrast between nature and the history of one of Cuba's most iconic destinations.
