Me despidieron, muchas gracias/ I was fired, thank you very much

Good morning, dear Catarsis community. I hope you are all very well.
On the 24th of this month I was fired and I could tell you that I feel upset, sad or worried because I am now unemployed, but on the contrary I am very grateful that this happened. Therefore, I want to give you some details about that situation so that you can understand me better.
Starting off on the right foot
Since January I started working for an importer as a salesman in the Antofagasta Region here in Chile, earning a base salary plus commissions, like most salesmen. I started selling without expectations because it was my first time working for an importer. In this type of job, sales always depend on several factors, such as the reputation of the company. However, since I did not know the company, I could only wait to know how the reception of the customers was, since I have some experience in the subject.
On my first day of work, the reception was good and I managed to sell approximately 7 million pesos, about 8500 dollars, in a small town where there are not many customers. At that time, my boss, who was my boss, accompanied me and told me that the normal for the first day was to sell about 750 dollars. I didn't know what to tell him because I didn't know much about the sales dynamics of an importer and I was learning, but knowing that detail made me feel happy. It was a good month where I understood a lot of things but there were others to learn and for me that was as important as my sales because the more I learned, the better I would do my job. That was my approach to practicing the win-win principle.
Learning that there are ALWAYS failures
Despite having approximately 2 decades in business, the owners of the company did not prove to make the best decisions while I was working there. Among many of the mistakes they made or difficulties they never overcame were:
- Weekly the sales system would crash.
- The system reflected stock in products that were not available.
- They did not replenish stock in a timely manner.
- They stopped offering significant discounts and kept the occasional discounts on products with low sales.
- Several of the orders were incomplete or incorrectly assembled.
- The after-sales service was improved.
In short, the importer was not improving and demanded that sales had to increase in an area, which before my arrival, had been abandoned and which has a large part of copper mining, the most important industry in Chile. In spite of several salesmen asking for improvements, they did nothing. It seems that the win-win principle was ignored and also the customer complaints were accumulating and had no response.
One of the many times I had no system and had to write down the order by hand.
Last months
In July I was assigned a goal that the company was aware was very difficult to achieve because the market decreases its sales volume in that month. It was no longer just to sell a lot but to serve many customers. They invented a winter bonus for salespeople who sold to more than 50 customers, and I had a portfolio of less than 65 customers of which only half of them bought in a good month. In fact, even in the best of my months I couldn't get 30 customers to buy because the competition had better options like free freight or volume discounts. Customers bought because of some lower prices or because the competition did not have the product. In spite of everything and even though I didn't manage to earn that bonus, absurd, I was able to surpass my own mark. However, when I got paid for the hard work I did that month, I was met with bad news.
One of the many claims that I had to resolve without being my responsibility.
My dismissal has arrived, thank you very much.
To put it in context, due to so many problems that the company had, I decided to learn how to calculate my payment to prevent differences, since previously they had failed to pay me, for example, some per diems, plus they did not send the details of sales, which is mandatory. When my payment arrived I discovered that I was missing approximately 25% of my bonus. As a result, the alarm went off and with all the backups and calculations done, I requested the corresponding review to my ex-supervisor and the person in charge of calculating the bonuses and it is worth mentioning that they did not recognize the error. After 2 unsuccessful weeks of complaining, I was able to get the HR contact and sent the calculations and backups mentioned above for them to review it and make their comparisons and in less than a morning they did the job and acknowledged the error.
Three days later I received the news of my dismissal, however I did not receive it in a bad way, on the contrary I felt that my back was relieved of a great weight. After finalizing the legal aspects I wrote to the clients to tell them that I was no longer working in the company, I gave them the contact of my ex-supervisor so that he could now take charge and release me from all responsibility immediately. There were many clients who gave me their support and consideration, a detail that I am very grateful for, it confirmed to me that I did my job well. In fact, my wife always told me so.
Surely if I had not been fired, I would have resigned because of the company's mismanagement. For a company to work, it is necessary to work as a team where each member acts as a gear for success, starting from the owners to the salesman, but this was not the case with the rest of the team. The time I spent was always giving my best, learning from every situation and trying to have the best relationship with everyone because I can understand that everyone has different challenges to face, so I leave very satisfied with my work. On the other hand I remain positive because I will not lack opportunities because I am convinced that when one door closes many others open, in fact I have an interview in a transnational on September 1st. When you are clear in life you don't waste your time regretting because you are always moving forward.
