Well I do not write often. I have not been ready to try until @ShadowsPub created this Prompt a Day challenge. In the challenge she sends out a daily email with some writing prompt's you can use to get the creative juices flowing.
Here are today's Prompts:
Word Prompt: Mentor
Journal / Blogging Prompt: What would you do if you knew you could not fail?
Fiction Prompt: Your character’s DNA is genetically designed to help the community.
Current Gratitude Prompt: Write about what makes you grateful this week.
Current Reading Challenge: Book by an inspirational woman.
Well today I will take a stab at the Gratitude Prompt:
I am grateful that myself and all family members have good health to start the year out. This last month has been quite a challenge as 18 months ago my wife decided she would like to move east from Calgary to London, Ontario to be closer to her family and this is my first christmas away from most of my family. As she had been with me and most of my family in Calgary for 30 years, I could move and we would now spend the next 30 years :) closer to her family.
18 months ago her company posted her job position in London, she applied and the rest is history. Two weeks later I drove her and one of our vehicles from Calgary to London and dropped both at a brothers house. It was now up to me and the dog to prepare the house for moving and sale. 5 months later the dog and I flew to London and we moved into our London house. I am still looking for work, but we have all settled comfortably into the house and spent a lot of time with my wife's family out here.
Well that was easier than expected, but definitely needs work on grammar and style etc.
Happy New year
