I have to admit that Saturdays are one of the best days of the week!
One of the primary reasons is that I get to spend the whole day with my happy family - my hubby and son. Today we did the things we had to do in the morning (including checking out the status of the local playground lol). After that we went to a very nice restaurant - Pappa Rich.
The food is lovely and it's nice to get out. For me though - one thing that truly stands out for this place is that it has a brilliant kids play area!
When you have a little one bouncing around and hungry, waiting for food that has been ordered, there is nothing more precious than a play area. There he can continue to work up his appetite and release his inner angst. We get a table nearby and can relax. It is invaluable to me - as is the food!
If other restaurant owners want to know how to increase popularity and sales, just take the space of an alcove with a couple of tables, pop in a small play area, and every family desperate to get out for the weekend meal will frequent you on a regular basis! If you're in Melbourne, I know we'll pop along for a meal!!
