Her hand slipped into the hand of the older, wiser person sitting next to her.
She asked - will it hurt?
"You will have something for the pain - it will be fine."
Other people had Root Canal Surgery - not her. She was invincible, she had never had anything wrong. She had never done anything bad to her body before but finally realized that all those days of eating lollies etc had added up.
The sweat built up. There was no way out. It had to be done.
I guess I have no choice.

She was not invincible anymore.
She turned to her mother sitting beside her - "I guess I should have listened when you told me to clean my teeth".
Her mother hugged her. "It'll be fine. If this is the worst lesson to learn from your younger years then you're doing alright!"
