In my town, if you see someone wearing white boots you know that those rubber soles belong to a fisherman. They make them in different colors but for some reason, the fishermen only wear the white ones. A company named Boss makes the best boots but they are pricey, My husband had a pair of them a long time ago and loved them.
I can always tell what the weather is like, if my husband puts his boots on it is cold. Any other time he is barefoot. It was back in the 1980s when the grocery store told him he had to start wearing shoes when he came inside. So to this day, he carries a pair of rubber sole tennis shoes in his truck to put on before entering a store.
I had something unexpected happen today. My husband had to go to Fellsmere today to get a load of soil and I asked him to ask his friend there if he wants to sell his metal detector and how much.
He came home with it and I asked how much did it cost. He said the guy gave it to me, he said he never uses it and it just takes up room. I am still in shock because it is over a thousand dollar detector. As soon as I get a free day I am going to put on my rubber sole boots and have a little fun with it.
