Maybe after they process it makes it turn white, this Dolomite is a reddish colored dirt, they use it in orange groves and the groves have Migrant workers, so I suppose in their Country it is a cheap way for them to get the minerals that they believe will help them. I imagine the Colored Lady ate it because it was something passed down from her parents or Grandparents, I don't think that one day she just decided to eat dirt. It was not just any dirt, it was very rich looking like it would be good to grow plants in. My yard did not have dirt that looked like that, now I am wondering if it was something like compost.
