It's been a while, too long really. You'd be forgiven for thinking I'd started doing poorly due to my silence.
A slide down the overall rankings as well as my mini leagues would seem like a good explanation for why I've been quiet. Thankfully, that is not the case..... I've just been quite busy work and a touch lazy.
I've actually continued to fare well this season, with a run of 11 green arrows and a current overall rank putting me firmly in the top 400. Overall, it is shaping up to be a great season.
We're now heading into a real tricky part of the season, especially this season with some teams turn around being 48 hours, I am going to need some luck to try and hold position. I'll need incredible amounts of luck to climb any higher than I already am.
My team for this week isn't as strong as I'd like, but I'm reluctant to spend any points just yet as I feel I'm well enough covered and most people are probably in the same boat, at least without taking a hit.
My 5th midfielder, Trezeguet, has been a real disappointment and someone I've been trying to get rid of for a couple of weeks now but each week something more pressing has always reared its head. He is next up to try and fix, I will likely just downgrade him slightly to generate a bit of money, plus my team is setup for 3-4-3 anyway.
My transfer this week to bin Mount, I feel like I've been holding too long now and grown too attached to having him. Chelsea's form has dipped, as has his, and their fixtures turn now, barring a couple that look half decent, but they are not worth waiting for imo.
I had a bit of money waiting in the bank and have upgraded Mount to Richarlison. He has been performing lately, despite the Toffee's tough fixtures, and with those fixtures now easing a bit and a new manager on the way, I feel it is a good time to bring him in.
This week's captain choice is an interesting one, it will be a week where a lot of people will move away from Vardy and with the Liverpool assets out of action we might see a nice spread of who people will go with. I'm currently torn between Son, Rashford and Jiminez, a decision I'll make after hearing the press conferences.
So, I go into GW18 top of all my mini leagues (Including the #Average64) as well as a good overall rank, I'm just hoping next week's update sees me in the same place.
