Hello Steemians,
I wonder what your thoughts are about on the lifelong story of our lives filled with unbearable contradictions and tragedies. What do we think we will achieve at the end of this journey with all this struggle? Or is it what we gained from this journey that's important, rather than what the outcome is?
What is our main purpose, our motivation in the world of possibilities and consequences that we came across with embryonic life?

Can a man forget mortality? Or all our ambition are a battle against death?

Maybe we are just trying to find** immortality** and can't accept death. Maybe this is the reason for all the dirty games we play...And I think there is a piece of our instinct of maintaining our generation. The project of keeping the most similar DNA chain to oneself alive;kids.

If you are a mom or dad you probably know what I mean. The biggest happiness, wish, and -even though I don't approve of this- the biggest project of an adult is their kids.

In the middle of our life, maybe being able to dream again with their hopes, holding to our lives with a new desire, believe me, these are only possible with our kids...

I want you to think for a moment, when you look back at your life, your victories, losses, successes failures...( the list goes on...) and your life time, melting away in this countdown called life. Our end is approaching every passing moment. If we want it or not...
And we adults are hanging to our kids, with the hope that they will carry on what we have left unfinished. (Of course, this isn't true for all of us)

What about our kids.

What if our kids, for whom we have spent sleepless nights, even in their smallest illnesses are disappearing each day in the claws of a disease.
What if the sapling you planted for immortality is heading to the darkness of death, and you can't do anything? No, I am not exaggerating, these aren't my imagination either. Doesn't matter If we are aware of it or not, this is a reality going on around us, and 100 thousands of them.
I've dealt with many disabled kids through my professional career. So, I have witnessed the worst tragedies a human could live in the long times I spent with kids and their families.

I have witnessed

I have witnessed a kid becoming closer and closer to death through a mother's eye.
I've seen the misery and despair of a father trying to carry both the medical condition of the kid and the increasingly worsening psychology of his wife on his shoulders.
I've seen, through their eyes that most of those kids knew what death was even though no one told them and were preparing themselves for it.
I've witnessed days, Just at the age of 13-15, stuck in a hospital bed, when even breathing, the only thing they could do by themselves was getting harder each passing day.

This untreatable disease is called Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. Seeing, not only the clinical effects of the disease which is a disaster by itself but also how it turns a family into zombies.
İt is enough to make you question all the values you believed in. Seen that death, before it even comes, slowly destroying a family by its coldness, makes you feel ashamed of good things you have even your health...

So, this is what's called life? What about justice? Billions of people have billions of problems but who is ensuring the equality? Or is there actually something called equality? We aren't all feeling pain or happiness the same amount. So, whose decision is this?

As you might have guessed, the next post will be about Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy
