Leaving a comment in someone post is seem to be an easy task.
It only need 3 steps which is...
- Read the post.
- Write a comment.
- Post that comment as a reply to that post.
Sounds easy right?
But I think that most of us forgot one other part before writing a comment.
Can you guess what it is?
Well, the part I'm talking about is...
- To understand what the post is all about before writing a comment.
Why should we understand the post?
- So that we could give a comment related to that post.
Why should we give a comment related to the post?
- It is to initiate engaging with the author.
Why do we want to initiate engaging with the author?
- Because I think it is the way it should be. Think about it... Who is going to read our post if we ourself didn't give some of our time to read their.
Engaging can help us to build up reputation and from there we can slowly earn upvotes little by little until someday we ourself can be the giver and less the taker.
This is merely my own opinion. Hope that it could give a bit inspiration to other too.
Just like the plant that branches beautiful flower, so does engaging will do here in steemit.
