Every Year a big tree is brought from the forest to the town center and it's decorated with light and objects.
From Place Centrale along Nidaugasse, there is a christmas market during the month of december where merchants sell christmas related products.
There are small shops that sell products but also food and drinks
Some of these shops are prettily decorated
There is even a mountain chalet that is supposed to be the "lowest mountain chalet in Switzerland". Biel is only 420 meters above sea level.
Biel is a Swiss town with around 50'000 inhabitants that I will try to present through a series of posts.
Every year there is a christmas market in Biel during the month of december. A big christmas tree is set up in the center of town and a multitude of small shops sell items and food related to christmas. The central shopping streed is bathed in lights and nice smells and invites people to walk around the shops and discover. I like the atmosphere.
