Tortoise and Hare Cryptos

I just finished reading a wonderful post about Steem and comparing it to other cryptos. @dandesign86 has some very valid points about the stability and long-term potential of the steem blockchain vs. some of the other, more speculative cryptos. I've been considering diversifying into some other cryptos, but am not really sure that its worth buying into Bitcoin at these prices, and not sure that I trust any other crypto enough (largely because I don't know a whole lot about them and haven't used them). At least with steem, you can see some effort going into creating the value, which is what has convinced me in the long-term viability of this blockchain.
