The big hardening days continue as many of the major crypto and tech places are experimenting constant attacks and in cryptoland, it has been honeypot after honeypot. This time it was a major exchange with Binance. A total heist of 6.4 billion in cryptocurrencies across 10 different blockchains. Bringing the market to a tidal of red to the cryptoworld. But that wasn't all, the market has also been hit with underperforming tech industry alongside a very stern FED and other indicators that have sum into an unfriendly environment for the bulls to run.
Personally, it all started with a message from CZ saying there might have been a security issue in Binance and some money could have been stolen:
This happened as CZ was also tweeting about other security holes, this time around wallets such as Ledger supply chain in Singapore and data leaks from companies such as Coinbase, Bithumb and traditional security firms out from Korea having also data security leaks, Mirae Asset and Daishin Securities.
But the story with Binance really hit the whole market around the world giving into some drama between celebrities such as Elon Musk and CZ exchanging tweets.
However the tension between the market was also charged with events happening around the larger technology world. Earning season is going on and companies like Alphabet aka Google drop 12.5% after missed earnings, Meta and the rest of the space experience mixed outcomes. Specially main companies like NVIDIA and Amazon with negative scores.
On top of this, the FED had a very stand off position towards the market and everything combined a second day of drops for Bitcoin, Ethereum and the gang of nearly 8% average on the top 10 coins.
We haven't seen the last of these attacks and many exchanges are on notice, who would be next?
