Meet Sriracha my 5 year old Sulcata Tortoise. Born in May of 2013, she started out about the size of a golf ball . This was the first day she came home with us.
Sun bathing under the heat lamp in her tank. The first year of her growth she averaged around 15 grams a month. Look at her baby back legs!
I entered her in a tortoise calendar contest and took first place in late 2013.
We used to keep a toy construction cone on her when she was so small so we could see her in the grass.

They are basically little cows that graze all day on grass and weeds. She gets the occasional strawberry or watermelon rind as a treat. They love dandelions too. I also feed her a food pellet to help supplement any nutritional decencies.
This is her as of today at about 60lbs. Once she hit about 10lbs she started gaining almost a pound a month.
