It is a pleasure to be in this community of knitters today, Monday, sharing this project of lavender flowers or lavender spikes. I always wanted to know how to knit them and this Sunday a friend passed me a pattern, because the amigurumi I was going to show had a mistake and I stopped knitting and quickly changed the project. I looked for the lilac and purple wick yarns. I wanted these flowers because I want to have lavender in my garden, but it has been impossible, it seems that in our region it is not very common, no one around me has it. I will have to go to a nursery. Now let's enjoy the step by step.
Es un placer estar en esta comunidad de tejedoras hoy lunes compartiendo este proyecto de unas flores o espigas de lavanda. Siempre tenía la inquietud de saber como tejerlas y este domingo una amiga me pasó un patrón, porque el amigurumi que iba a mostrar tuve un error y dejé de tejer y cambie rápidamente de proyecto. Busqué los hilos pabilo color lila y morado. Deseaba estas flores debido a que quiero tener lavanda en mi jardín, pero me ha sido imposible, parece que en nuestra región no es muy común, nadie de mis alrededor tiene. Tendré que ir a un vivero. Ahora vamos a disfrutar del paso a paso.
Step by step//Paso a paso
Materials//Materiales:
- Lilac, purple and green wick yarn.
- Crochet needle Nº 2.
- Bamboo sticks (06).
- Cold silicone.
- Wool needle.
- Hilo pabilo color lila, morado y verde.
- Aguja crochet Nº 2.
- Palitos de bambú (06).
- Silicona al frío.
- Aguja lanera.
Abbreviations//Abreviaciones:
Ch: chain(s).
mp: half point.
mpa: half high point.
aum: increases.
pa: high point.
pr: slipped stitch.
Ch: cadena(s).
mp: medio punto.
mpa: medio punto alto.
aum: aumento.
pa: punto alto.
pr: punto deslizado.
Process//Proceso:
Color lilac.
v1: - Make 5 chs, return to second, mp, mp, 4 chs in the air, return, mp, mp, repeat sequence until 10 leaves are formed.
v2: - Continue to the left, repeat the process but with 3 chs in the air until the end of that row.
v3: Make the third row repeating v2. Knot and cut yarn leaving 30 cm to use wool needle. Make 03 pieces.
Color lila.
v1: - Hacer 5 chs, devolver a la segunda, mp, mp, 4 chs al aire, devolver, mp, mp, repetir secuencia hasta formar 10 hojitas.
v2: - Continuar hacia la izquierda repetir el proceso pero con 3 chs al aire hasta terminar esa vuelta.
v3: Hacer la tercera hilera repitiendo v2. Anudamos y cortamos hilo dejando 30 cm para usar aguja lanera. Hacer 03 piezas.
Color purple.
- Repeat the above process for 03 pieces.
Color morado.
- Repetir proceso anterior para lograr 03 piezas.
Assembly//Ensamblado:
- We insert wool needle to the thread and proceed to sew to the bamboo stick.
- We sew in each hole of the dowel.
- At the end we tie the knot, cut the thread.
- This is how we form the herringbone: pulling the fabric upwards, a kind of gathering.
- Then with glue we cover with green thread the stick or stem.
- Repeat this process for the 06 spikes or lavender flowers.
- Insertamos aguja lanera al hilo y procedemos a coser al palito de bambú.
- Cosemos en cada hueco de la espiga.
- Al terminar anudamos, cortamos hilo.
- Así formamos la espiga: subiendo el tejido hacia arriba, una especie de fruncido.
- Luego con pega revestimos de hilo verde el palito o tallo.
- Repetimos este proceso para las 06 espigas o flores de lavanda.
… And now we have the bouquet of lavender spikes.
I am happy to have my sprig of lavender, since I don't have the plant. What I am missing is the scent. I will have to buy it in the supermarket. I am going to have to campaign harder to get the plant, because the gardens look great with these flowers and the scent is delicious.
