Un pomeriggio all'insegna del surfskate

Da qualche mese a questa parte ho iniziato a prendere lezioni di surfskate, una branca particolare dello skating, che combina le componenti dello street skate con i movimenti del surf.

Prendiamo lezioni al Gazometro con una scuola certificata di surfskate, ogni mercoledì sera: un modo per iniziare a prendere confidenza con la tavoletta da surfskate e fare nuove amicizie.

Lo trovo fantastico anche se molto complesso. Prima di Natale, putroppo ho subito un piccolo intervento che mi ha impedito di fare attività fisica per un paio di settimane.

Siccome era l'ultima lezione prima delle vacanze di Natale, ci ho tenuto ad andare comunque alla lezione, nonostante non potessi fare la sessione, ma almeno mi sono messa a fotografare i ragazzi che erano lì a fare pratica insieme ai maestri.

E' stato molto divertente per me e forse sono anche uscite delle fotografie carine, anche se avrei voluto tantissimo essere lì con loro a fare un po' di movimenti con la mia tavola da skate.

In quelle settimane mi sono sentita molto giù di corda proprio per via del fatto che non potevo allenarmi in palestra né fare alcun tipo di attività sportiva, quindi mi dedicavo a lunghissime passeggiate e un po' di fotografia, proprio come dimostrano questi scatti che vi lascio qui.

Spero vi piacciano, a me è piaciuto tantissimo scattarli: i colori di quel particolare spot, con le luci dei lampioni e del gazometro e i murales tutti colorati, rendono l'atmosfera simile a quella dei film con urban e street style tipici degli anni '90.

An afternoon of surfskating

A few months ago I started taking surfskate lessons, a specific branch of skating that combines components of street skate with surfing movements.

I think it's fantastic, even if it's very complex. Unfortunately, before Christmas, I had a minor surgery that prevented me from exercising for a couple of weeks.

Since it was the last class before Christmas break, I still wanted to go, even though I wish I couldn't do the session, but at least I started photographing the kids who were there practicing with the teachers.

It was a lot of fun for me, and I might have even gotten some cute photos, although I really wish I could have been there with them, doing some moves on my skateboard.

In those weeks I felt very down precisely because I couldn't work out in the gym or do any kind of sporting activity, so I dedicated myself to very long walks and a bit of photography, just as these shots that I leave you here demonstrate.

I hope you like them, I really enjoyed taking them: the colors of that particular spot, with the lights of the street lamps and the gasometer and the colorful murals, make the atmosphere similar to that of films with urban and street style typical of the 90s.
