I had barely arrived in the city when the first thing I came across was this boy sitting on a log, gazing out at the sea. He stayed there for almost an hour. What could he have been thinking? That made me reflect on how the city’s contrasts have intensified in recent years. That’s where I drew my inspiration for the series I’m sharing with you today. |

The scene with the boy set the tone for the rest of the day—though, honestly, it made me feel very sad—but that’s part of the job. I’m infinitely grateful for your company. Have a wonderful Friday. |
