Lately, I鈥檝e felt an overwhelming need to express what I feel, to say something, which is why I鈥檝e poured all my energy into doing so through photography. Normally, it鈥檚 not my style or personal preference to be so aggressive in my photos; instead, I focus on very everyday situations of life in Havana. But today, I want to explore that boundary where my normality or comfort zone ends and delve into a world of shadows and nothing more.
The photos 馃摳 are my entry to the #monomad contest from @monochromes and
@brumest.
I find it interesting to see through reflections; there, I observe reality from another perspective. On this occasion, while doing so, a lady passed behind me. I didn鈥檛 actually see her, only her shadow and that of her cane. From there, new questions began to arise, which I intend to present in a very subjective way below.
In Havana, as the evening ends, life slows down until night falls, when it picks up speed again. Everyone returns home carrying their own reality.
This is one of the saddest photos I鈥檝e taken in recent times. I could call it: "Once Upon a Time, There Was a Girl." She, standing in the middle of that old and destroyed building, looks upward between two columns. What was she doing? Perhaps thinking or pleading, but to whom? The photo isn鈥檛 technically of good quality because it was almost nighttime, and my camera has its limitations, but for me, it was perfect.
I am always very careful when taking photos of children, ensuring their faces are not visible. But these photos spoke to me deeply, and I felt compelled to share them with you.
Havana and its contrasts: the neighborhood and a 5-star hotel are neighbors.
And with this, I say goodbye, always hoping to have been helpful and that you enjoyed the photos. I hope 馃檹 you have an excellent day, and if you have any comments for me, I鈥檒l be very happy to read them. Thank you so much for taking the time to visit me, and I鈥檒l see you soon. Until next time!

He sentido 煤ltimamente una imperiosa necesidad por expresar lo que siento, por decir algo, por lo que he puesto todas mis energ铆as en hacerlo a trav茅s de la fotograf铆a. Quiz谩s pensando o pidiendo, 驴a qui茅n? .
