Autumn is upon us and in no time boys and girls will be scaring one another during trick or treat walkabout. Lots of planning and shopping for a memorable celebration. Don't be surprised if you are already seeing ghostly figures in windows and jack-o'-lanterns near door entrances. I know of one house where the owner has not even removd their decoration from last year. The pumpkins are ceramic!
Families will be going to the farm or store to get pumpkins for the house entrance, tabletop and for practising blade skills to make the scariest or craziest jack-o'-lanterns. Hobby Lobby, Dollar Tree , Party City and fancy stores would be filling their shelves with festive decor. Clothes section at Walmart and Target display cute costumes for tots and kiddos.
I love autumn. After the heat and sweat of summer, autumn cool is always welcome.
Pumpkins have lots of character. Lovely colours, smooth or ribbed. Over the next few days, I will be posting pictures of various varieties that I saw at the farm.
