I wish to share a true story.
A friend and her husband worked long hours. When she leaves the office at five p.m, she would drive straightaway to join her husband at their music store. They would only be home after eleven p.m each night.
They were fortunate to have a relative living with them to take care of their two young children. This relative also does all the household chores and so the children are left to their own devices now and then.
One night, the parents came home as usual to find the house quiet and everyone already asleep. When my friend turned the knob to open her bedroom door, the whole door slowly but surely collapsed into the room.
They found that the nuts on the door hinges had come off. The thunderous thud woke everyone up. The little boy who was five years old innocently revealed that he unscrewed the nuts with a screwdriver as he was bored and wanted to do something! He had stood on a high stool to reach the topmost hinge but was unable to unscrew all the nuts there. The entire operation must have taken a few days.
It was a huge relief that the boy was unhurt and an unsolved mystery how he managed to leave the room without the door coming down on him.
