The kiddo was one of some nine hundred plus children taking part in the recent Mid America Music Festival.
He was a bundle of nerves and declared that he was a bit terrified of the prospect of being a competitor. It was like an audition; he had to play a piece of music in the presence of a panel of judges. Parents and music teacher were not allowed inside the audition room.
The kiddo must have it right as he high-five the dad when he came out from the room. I am so proud and happy for him when he managed to collect a trophy the following day. Getting an award is a marvellous confidence booster for him.
