Learning strategies, according to Molyono, in his book titled Learning Strategies (2012), include nine activities in learning, namely:
1. Attract the attention of students
Attracting students' attention is the most important step taken by a teacher, because by attracting the attention of students the teacher has succeeded in instilling a sense of interest in the hearts of the students to love the subject matter to be delivered, if students have loved the material taught then the atmosphere of learning will be fun . As we know that from the learning atmosphere that stimulates the process and learning achievement can be more optimal.
2. Providing Information on Learning Objectives for Students
The main purpose of providing information about the learning objectives of students is to provide a general picture of the benefits of learning a material to be discussed. This is necessary because by mentioning the learning objectives students can find out the direction in which the learning purpose is intended.
3. Repeating Prerequisite Learning To Ensure Students Learn It
This repetition is needed because not all students can immediately understand an explanation presented by a teacher with one explanation, this is related to the catching power of each student towards different subject matter. So that to accommodate the possibilities of the unevenness of the capture capacity of all students, it is good if a teacher gives a repetition of the material that has been delivered.
4. Giving Stimulus
Stimulus is useful to stimulate students' motivation to progress and achieve. Stimulus can be material or non-material. Material stimuli can be in the form of giving concrete prizes to students who have a performance, such as giving a certain book or stationery, this indirectly gives stimulus to other friends to further improve their achievements. Likewise with non-material stimuli such as giving praise to students who excel or by giving stories of successful people who can inspire.
5. Giving Instructions on How to Study Related Materials
Sometimes a material that will be studied keeps a vague or unclear purpose for students, therefore a teacher must also interpret the way to learn the material given by him, such as a cause relationship with the consequences or definitions of examples and so on.
6. Shows Student Performance Related to What Has Been Delivered
The performance of students towards what a teacher has conveyed is a reflection of the success of the teacher itself, meaning that if students succeed in responding to what the teacher has conveyed in the form of understanding, mastery and special skills it is all an indicator of success, on the contrary the negative response from students is an indicator lack of success of a teacher in managing the class or guiding a learning.
7. Give Feedback Related to Performance or Level of Understanding of Students
Giving feedback is intended to respond to the extent to which a student succeeds in absorbing material, if a student is able to absorb the material properly then the consequence is that the teacher gives rewards or sermons to students who succeed. Conversely, if students experience delays in completing or following the learning then the teacher tries to be more intense in fostering these students.
8. Providing Assessment,
Assessment is important to measure how far the level of arrest and mastery of a student towards the material being taught, through a series of existing methods the teacher can evaluate the success of students in following a learning, as well as with the assessment of a teacher can evaluate the learning methods he has been exposed to so far , it's ideal or still needs improvement and improvement.
9. Provide Conclusions.
Giving conclusions plays an important role because through giving conclusions a student can get an outline of what they are learning, this can also make it easier for a student to remember and connect the learning unit in systematic points.
