I live in the poor country, Philippines. There are those rich people but poor people are higher it's numbers. Just like other countries maybe because poverty will always be there. However the case of our country is getting worse.
I live in one of the province in Southern Leyte, Philippines. You can't expect for a better lifestyle there because the people survive from planting crops, fishing, rice fields and coconut trees. There's not much job offers there. There are no factory where people can work. So the income of the province is low.
If you can visit our place you can see many children running outside naked. Some of them going outside with no proper dress. It's understandable maybe because the people there are more focus in food. But of course they're sending their children to school. There are just those parents that won't force their children not to go in school.
Imagine the lowest worker in our country I think are those construction workers. They're not self employed because someone hired them to work. The salary of this worker is just 300 if you're not a skilled worker. Imagine that 300 everyday if you will subtract it with 50 pesog kg of rice. If you'll buy 2 kg of rice so it means the remaining money from their wage will be just 200 pesos. You can now understand how hard it's life but Filipino can still smile despite with that.
Well, we are known as the hospitable people in the world. Even if we don't have money, we still offer something to kur visitors. Even when storms just came, we can still enjoy our lives despite from it. We are all aware that life is hard but that's not a reason in stopping us to be happy.
What I love in our province is the kind of games. We are poor so we can't enjoy playing like in social media games. Some of us there has no television, so we will just go outside to play with other children. I'm talking about during my younger age.
We know life is hard, we are already aware of it. But once you understand your life, you can accept it and use it as your own happiness. Sometimes being poor is a good thing because you are exposed in the world of happiness. You're not being imprisoned in money problems. You're not being stressed when tomorrow you will not have work. There's no scary because you're used to it and you already know how to handle it.
