Etsy market in Town Hall, driving to Canberra, setting up camp, and My Actifit Report Card: November 23 2019
This morning I was in the Town Hall where the annual Etsy/Sydney Made markets were being held. I was there helping mrshill. She had a very successful day.
Stallholders setting up
then people came and it got busy
At around lunch-time I left the market, went home and set off for Canberra in the van. I’m competing in the 30 km run tomorrow as part of the Stromlo running festival. I made the mistake of setting ‘Avoid tolls’ in Google maps (it said only 20 minutes more) so the drive took a lot longer than it should have.
Just before Canberra there’s a big wind farm on the side of the road. I’ve always had a thing for wind farms. There’s a look-out nearby where you can get a pretty good view but I had never stopped. Well, today I did.
There are even more!
When I arrived at Stromlo park, I first got my race shirt and race bid and found a camp spot. After that I went out for an exploratory walk with my race pack on. I don’t normally run with a pack but there are mandatory requirements such as carrying two litres of water so I have no choice. Along the way I saw a lot of kangaroos!
How many kangaroos can you spot?
I’m camped pretty close to the start/finish line so I won’t have to go far in the morning!
