The song, "Nigeria go survive" is one of those songs we listened to while growing up. In the song, the song-writer was heard saying:
♪Andrew no check out ooo, say what?
This was the height of it for a nation whose currency was higher than the dollar at a point in time. It was not this bad when brain drain started. We saw Nigeria seeking greener pasture as immigrants in other nations, especially all over Europe. All these is because of the failure of government.
As we celebrate our independence today, we take a look beyond how far we have come to how far we would go.

Today is a special day in the history of my beloved nation, Nigeria. On October first, 1960 we became an independent nation, from colonization. It was not an easy journey but we overcame it without bloodshed. That is the reason our national flag is colored in green and white.
If you are reading this post, the flag is beyond just the interpretation we know before. The green indicates fruitfulness and fertile land, and the white indicates purity and peace. But far beyond that, our flag like that of other nations has no red pigment because our founding fathers, Late Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe, Late Chief Obafemi Awolowo, Ahmadu Bello, Herbert Macaulay, S.L Akintola, and many others, used dialogue with the colonialists as a method of nationalist movement they spearheaded. Hence, violence did not result in that could have warranted loss of life.
Let me not bore you with the historic rhetoric. As we celebrate our sixty-second year of independence, we look back to say that we have crossed many hurdles and have reached where we are currently.
We have come a long way no doubt as a nation. Some people believed that we have not reached where we ought. But I make proud to say that as a nation, we have been able to hold our polity together as one indivisible entity. The factors that have brought us together are more than what polarized us.
As though we walk into a period of transition, many citizens have come to a camp where they feel that their interests will be protected.
No nation in the world does not have a challenge. We do too as a nation. But we are ready to change the status quo. So, no one should talk down on us as a nation. We are only going through a period, a passing phase and as they say, the phase too will pass.
In Lagos where I reside, the story is just different. One of the candidate for the next presidential election that is scheduled to hold in February 2023 to us unaware.
Since the agenda for a new Nigeria is birthed, Mr. Peter Obi has become a household name. Not only in Nigeria but also in parts of the West African sub-region and in the diaspora.
The four-million-man match coincided with the celebration Day celebration. Youths from all parts of Lagos, came together to show their believe that our nation can work again. I can tell you, it was a tumultuous crowd. The whole streets of Lagos was crowded.
With this, there is no going back on the fact that every man is a political animal. Every man wants the best and the best we have gotten is not good enough. Never in the history of Nigeria have we experienced this kind of crowd matching in clamour of a new nation. For me, the rebirth has taken off and come February like a man on his placard said. It would be a landslide victory for our principal, Mr. Peter Obi.
So far, it has been an encouraging outing. In fact, Lagos with that a new nation is possible. Incan say with all reasonable doubt that there is fear in the camp of the other contestants.
It is time to support the rebirth of a new nation.

To say that people are sick and tired of excuses in the face of a nation that cannot deliver constant power supply and other dividends of democracy to her people is enough evidence to show that there is a paradigm shift now.
From those immediate passing images, you'd see that there, the movement for the liberation of Nigeria from the hands of wicked leaders is unstoppable.
The #PeterObiMovement for the liberation of Nigeria from the oligarchy that have taken our national treasury for personal aggrandizement is ot leaving any stone unturned. You cannot believe it that the movement held rallies across the major cities in the country and the independence celebration that is usually celebrated at the stadium witnessed a very low turn out.
Perhaps, all the youths who ought to be at the independence celebration have moved to the four-million-man match in solidarity of the rave of the movement, one who is capable of leading a nation like ours from the dungeon and to dwell among the comity of nations as a developed nation with sound economic policies.
