All my life, till now, I have lived with different kinds of neighbors and till now, there are still neighbors that make me shiver with their lifestyle and thoughts.
One of my neighbors, the very first one I ever had, Mr. Jacob is always happy when he sees a man who is educated but poor. Nothing sweetens an illiterate person more than to see a poor schooled man. He would just conclude that they ought to have learned a trade. One good day, I heard him saying:
School is a scam, it's just the whites' deceit against the blacks.
As if that was not enough, my second neighbor, who is the oldest of all my neighbors, had grown up with children. Some of Mrs Tyler's children are already married and living comfortably. One of Mrs Tyler's children bought her a car. Out of joy and anxiety, she came out to dance in appreciation of the new car and said:
My son, I wish I met you before your father.
With my eyes wide open, I started to regurgitate the meaning of that statement. Could it be that she would have married her son? Crazy neighbors I have got indeed.
My third neighbor was even crazier. His name is Uncle Jason. He has four notorious sons. One of his sons got a beautiful girl from a rich family, pregnant, and decided to marry her. The boy, Osas, was just too smart. Osas used fake bank alerts to pay the bride price. His father-in-law was going to lay a curse on him and remembered that his daughter was pregnant, he rescinded his thoughts. When I learned about this, I couldn't help but laugh out loud.
Then, came the last neighbor. They were the youngest couple in the building. Fash's wife got pregnant and they started to make plans for the coming baby.
As they bought all the necessities for the newborn baby, Mrs Fash made sure she pressured her husband to buy a new baby cot. Mr Fash wanted to please his wife, as such, he bought the expensive baby cot.
Believe it or not, when the baby arrived, she never slept in the baby cot that they spent almost a hundred thousand to buy. Yesterday night, Mr Fash had to force his wife to sleep in it.
This is almost a true life story. One year birthday celebration for their daughter was close by. His wife made them spend so much money, they spent about a million on the birthday party. When they got to the time of taking the photograph, the baby cried throughout, despite all the money they had spent. I almost broke down in tears:
What an ungrateful child.
I am enjoying the craziness of my neighbour. Each time they begin, it feels like I am watching a comedy show, live.
