If you are paying attention to the news, yesterday we FINALLY locked in segwit. After what seemed to be an eternity, we can finally move on to more important things......... Or can we?!?
If you know about Segwit2X, after deployment of segwit, we we're supposed to be getting a block size increase 3-6 months later( seeing multiple reports of 6 months, and 3 months). But suddenly, I saw something on Reddit linking a tweet that doesnt seem good...
Samson Mow, CSO of Blockstream posted a Twitter PSA stating that Segwit2X was canceled.... And Segwit hasn't been locked in for 24 hours yet. So....is this real shit, or Fud?
My money is on Fud. This is way too soon to even call something like that. Not to mention , if bitmain lives up to their threat and move all their hashrate to bch, it could spell trouble for BTC. So for now, do not panic. Plenty of time to go, and don't believe all the fud!
