I cant remember when it was now, maybe it was 7 - 10 days ago that I decided to take some clones from Blueberry cheese, Punky Lion, GSC and the Royal Super Haze. Last year I took clones to grow again and I had them in plastic cups with rockwool inside, and ventilation holes and then another see through cup used as a lid to make a micro climate inside for the clone. It was all a bit fragile and quite frustrating but it was all I had at the time I had to make do.
This time around though I have a heat mat for reptiles..
And! A Propagator..
These two combined are like a dream! Most of the clones were from the lowest stems and so they should hold more rooting hormone than the tops would.
I'm using a COB led, its only drawing 25w and giving 50w out and small plants and seedlings like it a lot. This is what I had used also last year when using cups.
There was one that died within the last few days, it went completely yellow and then disintegrated into pieces, this Punky Lion didn't make it, but that's why I took 4 of each strain just incase only 1 of each made it. I was a bit worried about the heat mat being too hot because its got no control on it and plus it didn't even say how hot it gets. I have used some cloning hormones but it was a cheapy so maybe it will help but its not like clonex. Anyway as I proved last year, its not necessary to use it anyway.
I kept forgetting to do the clone post's, but anyway its started now!
Here are the mothers and recently they were 'fimmed'. Lack of sunlight has stunted the growth but apart from that they are healthy.
Just before I go, here's a misfit and I think it might be a Moby Dick automatic.. Its quite funny!
