Living in a mountain forest at the edge of society isnt a easy life sometimes , winter can be harsh with no access apart from on foot, need to stock up wood for the minus 20 nights , we have to make sure the dogs don't stay out too long because of wolves. Yesterday we let the smallest of our 4 rescue dogs out and she never came back , we thought the worst , hoping this morning would bring some hope we got up and took the other dogs out but no sign of the hairy worm( lucky a small black and tan dog with floppy ears , short but long), I decided to have another walk with my faithful dog Titch (the boss)boots on rifle loaded and off we went , she led me along a long track whilst acting strange and nervous , after a few minutes she went off the track and looked down the banking so I rushed over , as I looked down I instantly saw a black object and it was moving , her voice had gone and she was caught in a metal wire trap put there by the neighbours who live down the track .
It must have been a terrible night with that wire tight around her neck and knowing there are predators around , I freed her and removed the illegal trap and got her safely home, after wanting to kill my neighbour I've calmed down for now and have to.decide my next move wisely. Here she is being comforted by her slightly bigger sister.
