We honour and cherish the power of African women.
They gave birth to real men, real women, kings, queens and true leaders. They protected us from fertilization, through pregnancy, through birth and growth to adulthood. They kept us safe from harm and loved us in spite of our flaws and weaknesses.
They fought for Africa and made sure we get our freedom. Through thick and thorns they fought tirelessly to earn us the Africa we have. They may have been behind the scenes or away from the battle fields, but they fought an unforgettable fight. They fed our troops, marched against oppression and harboured those from war.
Against the strong ruthless enemies they stood, their blood was shed, they were raped, they were abused but they remained strong and never ceased to fight.
Let is remember how powerful these women are and respect them for who they are. Stop woman abuse and regard every woman a gift from God. Love them and think of how hard they fought to make us who we are.
Women of Africa, love one another and show the world the power that you have
