This time i have some mobile phone shots from my very first approach and landing on our "brand new" 😂 airport as entry for the#monomadphoto challenge. I guess the whole world knows about how ridiculously long this airport took to finish. You can't imagine what fun we Berliners had joking and grumbling about this expensive over the years 🙄 And if this wasn't ridiculous enough they officially opened it in the middle of the pandemic on October, 31st 2020 🎃 Kinda like the icing on the cake. Almost no flights, almost bankrupt already!
Anyway, i happened to have one of my few jobs in the last year right after the opening in the middle of November and on the way back home while approaching the airport i caught some motifs i consider worth showing you to enjoy.

Just a battery factory, nothing exciting like a rocket launch center 😜
Approaching • Schmöckwitz
Schmöckwitz is a former fishing village at the edge of Berlin in the district of Treptow-Köpenick and a popular local tourist destination.
Approaching • Circus Tent
This looks like a home base of a circus and the tent is set up to dry or to be repaired here.
Touch Down • BER
The full name of the airport is Berlin Brandenburg Airport Willy Brandt. Notice what looks like a necklace someone lost there?! That is an art light installation called "Gadget" by Olaf Nicolai wrapped around the boarding bridge and it's supposed to react on the people walking through it.
