The rate at which science and technology is going now looks like they can create the unknown. Seeing how they create robots and what they do makes a whole lot of sense. I will say that these robots and some other machines are now taking away people's jobs. But then that is not the topic for today.
Now the question will be, is it okay if parents get any kinds of babies they want through modifications of science and technology? I mean, there are so many advantages to this, because, looking at it, any parents can easily choose any kind of baby they want, edit their genes and even modify their physical appearance.
Some benefits include: Free from sickness, that is Modifications of the genes, in the world we are today, there are so many sickness going on in the world, suck as suckle cells, Cancer and some other sickness inside the gene, the rate at which sickness kills people goes a very long way, if you have someone that is sickle cells in your family or as a friend you will know the problem they face whenever their crisis begins. One of the benefits science and technology can do for baby modifications is this.
This will also reduce the medical cost in the future because a child that doesn't get sick has no reason to visit the hospital, especially if you modified your babies to be so perfect. Even without modifications, some children are hardly sick. Now imagine a world with no sickness.
Furthermore, modifications of physical abilities and so on, giving, for instance, if I'm someone that has the ability to modify any of my children. I will also edit the physical abilities because I want them to be physically fit especially for the sports I do, Teakwondo, I will want my babies to be tall, to be strong, to be very flexible and have a strong gene so they will not even smell anything like sickness. Meanwhile, I will also edit the brain so that they will be so smart and be knowledgeable.
However just the way it has it's own advantage there is also disadvantages, the truth is there is no way science and technology will be hundred percent perfect, let assume there is a mistake in the modifications and it's fails, no one knows what this will leads to.
Also, not everyone can have the ability to pay for these modifications, as we have rich and poor. It's obvious that science and technology are not for free, so if the rich are able to get it done and the poor kids look so ordinary, this will create envy in the society, and in the long run the consequences will set in.
In summary, everyone should be contented with what they have. I personally believe as much as the modifications of the children look good to hear, it will create more danger than the advantage in the society. And the future will not be safe; we can only accept our fate.
