This list is meant to educate any out of the loop fans of RPGs. Check out some of the promising upcoming games and prepare your wallets for some minor or major leakage, depending on your preferences. It does feel that this gaming drought is prolonged as hell, but have no fear the sun will come out and shine off your frostbites you accumulated over these slow winter months. While we had some decent games like Kingdom Come Deliverance and Monster Hunter World, that is not enough to please our RPG needs. Here are some of the most promising RPGs that are coming out soon.
Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire
One of the best games from the Kickstarter era was Pillars of Eternity, a brand new game inspired by the infinity engine CRPG greats, greats like Baldur's Gate and Icewind Dale. Pillars vanilla was a great game and the second one will be even better, richer and larger in scope. We will be able to explore a whole archipelago of a medieval fantasy world and engage in many pirate encounters, all while managing our ship and crew. New dynamic shadow engine and VFX will keep the game up to date with the graphics. From gameplay perspective dual classes will be available and you will be able to create all sorts of fun combinations. You can be a Barbarian/Ranger, Fighter/Druid, Cypher/Monk, or you can be a plain old Mage with his faithful grimoire, you play your role as you wish, a core of any great RPG, I have a strong feeling Deadfire will be one of those greats.

Vampyr
I've always had a lot of great gaming experiences with vampire themed games, games like Bloodlines, Redemption, Legacy of Khain and so many more. Dark and mature theme of those games will translate into Vampyr. The game looks great and the atmosphere seems to hit all the right feels. We play as a doctor turned into a vampire in an early 20th century London. Being a vampire is never easy and you will have to manage your humanity or drop down to your basic beastial instincts and drain humans of their blood, an action which which will bring dire consequences for your well being. The game will have that familiar Dark Souls feel to it with it's hard and unforgiving boss battles where any mistake will be your end. I'm very interested to see how this game will turn out to be.

Inquisitor: Martyr
First real ARPG from always expanding Warhammer40k universe is knocking at our door. I've been playing some early access of the game and the game seems very promising for any fan of good old hack and slash action, but be prepared to do way more hacking and slashing then you are used to, it is a WH40k game after all. You will be able to pick three classes and explore several space sectors, engage in ranged, melee or vehicular combat and increase your power levels with each bloody swing of your chain sword. Heretics, Mutants and Aliens will never know what hit them.
