The season isn't even halfway through, yet I鈥檝e already unlocked Division 5 in Modern Battle. Just yesterday, I mentioned that I had climbed the ranks while maintaining a 70% win rate鈥攚ell, that was the case until now. Upon reaching Division 5, the game has become so challenging that my frequent wins have come to a near-halt, and my win rate has dropped to 60%. Over the first seven days of this season, I鈥檝e completely exhausted my Modern Battle energy twice; right now, I only have 8 energy points left, which limits how many battles I can play at once. Nevertheless, thanks to my strong performance so far, I have earned more Glint this season than ever before鈥攁 significant achievement in itself.
I had never unlocked Division 5 before, so I had no idea what kind of rewards I would receive upon doing so. Although I didn鈥檛 include a screenshot of the page for using potions, it鈥檚 not that I didn鈥檛 use them; I simply don鈥檛 bother taking a screenshot of that screen because I鈥檝e never found using alchemy potions to be beneficial鈥攕o, expecting nothing from them, I don鈥檛 even mention that step. This time, by unlocking Division 5, I received a "welcome loot" package containing 5 minor chests, 2 major chests, and 4,000 Glint currency鈥攚hich is, without a doubt, excellent. From those 5 minor chests, I got around 130 Merits, one Legendary potion charge, one Alchemy potion charge, and a decent common card.
This is the 'Thornmaw Berserker,' a melee attack card from the Death element. It has a mana cost of 7, and I have already upgraded it to level 4. At this level, it boasts 2 melee attack power, 3 armor, 7 health points, and 4 speed. Beyond these stats, it possesses two exceptional abilities: 'Final Rest,' which blocks enemy abilities that trigger after a card is knocked out鈥攕uch as Resurrect, Resurgence, Rebirth, and Soul Siphon鈥攁nd 'Magic Reflect,' which reflects 50% of any magic damage dealt to this card back onto the attacker. The card is excellent at level 4 and generally performs very well in battles. I am currently working on upgrading it to level 5, which requires 30 copies; I have collected one so far. Additionally, from two 'Major Draws,' I received 7 Alchemy Potions and 7 Legendary Potions. While getting a card instead would have been far more useful, it seems the system is essentially saying: "Here, take back the Alchemy and Legendary Potions you spent鈥攂ut don't even think about getting a Gold card from us!"
Splinterlands isn't an easy place, but that's what makes it even more fun. A perfect strategy takes into account many factors, including stats, abilities, rulesets, mana caps, and more. That's why it's even more important to consider all these factors when developing a strategy. Add good cards to your deck, but also work on improving your strategies, and strive to win as many battles as possible!馃敟
