Hey Splinterlands friends! šŸ‘‹
Some of you know Clockwork, my steampunk auto-battler card game. Today I want to show you its big brother: Clockwork Evolved, a full turn-based strategy game in the spirit of the old Heroes of Might and Magic. It plays right in your browser and is built on the same cards.
You build a town, recruit an army, explore a painted world map, fight hex battles, learn spells and hunt Titans. Your Clockwork cards come with you: every card you own unlocks its upgraded unit in Evolved.

Five towns, five ways to fight
Pick one of five factions, each with its own hand-painted town, buildings, units and favourite school of magic:
āš™ļø Clockwork: riflemen, kombots, steam tanks and the mighty Dreadnought
🐪 Haluvian Mercenaries: a moving city of wagons in the desert, with caravans that call in reinforcements mid-battle
🌊 Atlantis: sea serpents, coral defenders, mermaids and the Old Kraken
🌲 The Wild: centaurs, trolls, druids and the Green Dragon
šŸ‘ļø The Outsiders: nightmares, swamp things and The Great One. Do not look too long.

Every building is a real choice. Upgrade your hall, open new dwellings, and spend your brass, wood, stone, coal and aether wisely, because fresh recruits only arrive once a week.

A living world map
Six large maps to conquer: the Haluvian Desert, the Enclave and the Blight, the Rotting Deepwood, the Drowned City, the Drowned Causeway and the cursed Tidegate yards. They are full of mines to capture, treasure to grab, inns, markets, shrines and guarded passes. Fog of war hides everything you haven't explored yet.
And you are not alone. An enemy commander grows his army every week, takes mines, picks up artifacts and eventually marches on your town. Scout him, or he will come for you.

Hex battles with real tactics
This is where the cards come alive. Battles are fought on hex fields with six different battlefields and obstacles you can hide behind. Before the fight you arrange your army, then every stack acts in turn:
Snipers punish enemy shooters
Healers and mechanics mend your stacks
Summoners call fresh units into the fight
Brace to take less damage, or Wait to act after the enemy shows its hand
Large units take two hexes: mighty, but easy to surround

Don't feel like micro-managing? Hit Auto battle and watch your army do the work.

Titans šŸ’€
Each faction has a Titan, the strongest creature in the game: the Brass Colossus, the Verdant Wyrm, the Abyssal Kraken, the Dune Matriarch and the Hungering Void. Find a Titan's lair on the map, beat it, take its Heart, and your town can raise a Titan of its own.

37 spells in five schools
Your commander learns magic at the town's Mage Guild: Water, Nature, Arcane, Eldritch and SteamTech. Freeze the enemy with a Blizzard, drop Artillery on their heads, or chain lightning through their whole front line.

A story campaign
Five story chapters take you from Enclave Seven through the Deepwood and the desert to the Drowned City and beyond, with characters, twists and a final door that should never have been opened.

There is also Free play: pick any town, any of the 13 commanders and any map, and play your own campaign.

How to play
Go to Clockwork and log in with Immutable Passport (free, with email or Google).
Open Clockwork Evolved in the same browser.
Choose a chapter or set up a free game, and conquer.
No download, it runs in your browser. Base units are free for everyone, and your Clockwork cards unlock the upgraded units. You can buy Clockwork packs with your Passport wallet, Phantom or Hive Keychain.

Early days
The game is fresh out of the workshop. The art and gameplay are where I want them, while sound and music are still placeholders and balancing continues every week. That's exactly why I'd love your feedback: what did you like, what broke, which unit is too strong? Drop a comment below. šŸ™
As card players, you know how good it feels when your collection gets a new life. That's what Clockwork Evolved is about.
See you on the battlefield!
