Bank holiday in England means an extra carboot but today i was too tired to sell so i decided to have a walk round a few boot sales (outdoor market), i told my friend to meet me at the house at 8am and i got a text at 6:40am that he was outside and as i was only just getting up so i made him a brew and tried waking myself up with one too.
I got on to the road just after 7:15am and got to the first boot sale after 8am where we had a walk around, the thing that still shocks me is the amount of fake coins especially morgan dollars that are for sale, it is easy to spot the fakes as they are plentiful and strewn around cases. I covered around 2 miles while walking around that bootsale but only managed to pick up a Falklands 50 pence and a St Helena 25 pence that i could sell.
I spoke to a few other traders and asked how business was but the answers where all slow which is not too surprising after a long summer of covid. I picked up a few savoury snacks and some crisps for the following week.
I drove to another bootsale but i made a wrong turn and ended up going through the countryside for an extra 3 miles but i dont mind as it is scenic, the second market i picked up this little critter in resin and the arabic silver picture which will go on to my wall soon enough.
Well it is now time to enjoy some ice cold gold and some savoury snacks and chillout before i am back to work tomorrow.
