So it is lunch time and football is on so it is time to russle up something simple, being simple doesn't mean it cant be darn tasty.
The ingredients are super simple
- 1 bread roll
- 1 cheese slice
- 1 Angus 1/4 lb patty
- 1 slice of smoked British bacon
This is so easy to make when using a George Foreman grill or the equivalent, i basically let the grill heat up until the light went out and placed my bacon on first as i like it a little more crispy an then put the burger on and closed the lid and waited about 10 mins.
The bread rolls i had are just the right size and not oversized as a good burger to bun ratio is important, i sliced the bun in two and placed the cooked patty on the bottom with a slice of cheese on top and finished with the bacon.
I find having the cheese in the middle stops the bread pulling apart when taking a bite, the flavour of the burger is very sweet due to the Angus patty and also a nice taste of smoked bacon an the cheese just finishes it nicely, now i am gonna have my bottle of beer and watch the football.
