Today isn't a day to out on any thin outfits as the weather is extra ordinarily cold. Just like my friend tergan has told me earlier today we are all beginning to feel the drastic effects of global warming.
While some regions are getting warmer others that were once warm are now experiencing the cold.
The heavy downpour of rain these days has been very unusual for us and the temperature has remained consistently cold.
While searching for a top I could wear this morning, I found this one in my bag. A top I was giving to throw in the trash since it was badly in the middle while ironing
Well I can decide to through this in a trash or recycle it into something beautiful
First it will be awful to place a matching fabric underneath hence I thought of numerous ideas but the beat option was to cut that part off
The top was 24inches long So I made a cut right through the front and back block here, not wanting to cut only the front block and leave the back block unattended to or becoming of longer length.
I had cut both into the same length.
Next I removed the damaged part and joined the remaining pieces together Even though I am sure that you wouldn't want me to wear a top like this With no special design.
The front block had fabric designs of cloud lines, adding applique or flowers wouldn't be a good choice
And since I didn't want the seam line where I had cut and joined the top to be visible,I processed to smoke that part with a gathering thread.
Sewing about 4lines of the thread, I witnessed this sweet orange Kimono top come to life.
After taking a few shot knowing that it will be too cold for me to wear this out, I had sought a black turtle neck top to wear underneath. And with my Ash color skirt,I believe that the combination of these color is acceptable and wearable Ash; black and orange.
Now I have something a bit unique I can wear out for the day.
It feels satisfying that I can look good in these rather than throwing them off into the trash..
