Happy Sunday to us all. I hope that we are catching as much rest as possible. I just woke up from a brief nap I had after Sunday service, you can imagine how much I kept dozen off during the service.😁🤗 Thank goodness I have rested well now and can thing of what to do with my remaining two hours of the day before the darkness takes over.
This is how I rocked my new berret to church today. Every now and then they keep asking us to wear black beret on matching clothes but the ones I have so far is just a blue berret so I thought about sewing one for myself instead of purchasing it.
Eventually I was able to transform one of m
To make the berret I folded the camisole into 4 and then cut out a circumference of 6 inches but after making it I realized that 5" is the fine and perfect fit for a stretchy fabric.
Next I cut out the inner linnings and thick stay in a similar fashion
And then I cut out a band that is the half size of my head circumference since we doing wear berret all round the bead but just half way across
I took everything to the sewing machine and joined the pieces together. Sewing the inner lining apart and the main fabric before joining them and turning them over
The final steps for making this is the embellishments I had hoped to add to the beret and these sorts of embellishments often makes beret comes out beautiful
Your embellishments materials for berret can be any fashion accessories from buttons, to pearls to beads, ribbons as you can see what I have here
Your design and arrangements of the materials is what counts in how beautiful this berret will come out.
This was how I hoped to design mine
It was already late when I concluded sewing this since I had only a little time to get it done before the nightfall having spent my day in the farm yesterday.
Even without the embellishments I was still able to rock my berret to church and I bet that no one will hardly noticed what I had recycle go eventually make a black berret for myself.
